CREATIVES

STAY INSPIRED WITH AFFIRMATIONS

WHAT I'M ALL ABOUT

Embracing the gift of introversion. Quiet has the power to change the world.

Opening up about my journey with anxiety and depression to break the stigma around mental health.

Helping educators and parents instill in children a lifelong love of reading.

Authentically sharing the vast spectrum of emotions that accompany motherhood.

WRITER

As a child, I remember dusting off my parents' old typewriter to write stories (I loved the clicking sound the keys made and using the white-out). I researched topics using encyclopedias and wrote articles for my own newspapers. I journaled and wrote poetry. As I got older, becoming a children's book author seemed unattainable, so I put that dream aside until I saw a psychic in 2017. She told me it was my life's purpose to write because the world needed my stories. So, here I am, writing.

EDUCATOR

I worked as an elementary teacher, teaching grades 3, 4, and 5 before spending several years as a reading specialist for grades K-6. Throughout this time, I created over 150 teacher resources (you can find me on Teachers Pay Teachers), based on my teaching style which is largely center-based, hands-on, and fun! Currently, I am a community college professor, educating future teachers.

A LITTLE FUN

I am obsessed with doing my nails.

Inspirational quotes and affirmations are my jam (just say no to toxic positivity though).

I eat ice cream every single day.

I have a black belt in Tang-Soo-Do.

I love starting (and occasionally finishing) DIY home projects.

My TV guilty pleasures include cheesy Hallmark movies, ridiculous Lifetime thrillers, and trashy reality TV.
